Summer Eats

The cooler weather this summer has meant soup in June, chili in July, the baking never stopping for the heat. But that hasn't meant we aren't in summer mode for cooking. Dinner isn't often until 7pm or later, when there isn't awful weather it usually follows a swim at the lake. By the time we return we like to warm up around the fire, eat something warm, quick and easy. Corn on the cob is our favorite fall back. If we are organized enough, a little garlic and parsley mixed into the butter.

Where did you get the pot? Is that cast iron pot Chris was looking for to boil maple syrup?

We did by a cast iron one, it was REALLY expensive. But when we got home we checked our camping box and remembered this camping pot. Its not cast iron but we did use it for maple syrup and it was free. So we returned the expensive one and go with this.
The pot we did by was at that nice fire place store by shoppers.
