We spent the afternoon at the local dragon boat festival. There were groups of three teams racing each other through out the day. It is a beautiful sport to watch, the rhythm of the paddles moving together to glide faster across the water. The beat of the drum. Throw in the boats, which the kids loved, complete with dragon heads and tails. Some teams wore fancy costumes to entertain. It was good fun. Earthy feeling too. Well until you saw the cotton candy, the high speed Internet station and the candy kabobs.
