Pond Study Week #2

We are in week 2 of our Pond Study coop. We decided to try a new format for our coop group; three stations, each with a different topic (all related to ponds) and facilitator, the children rotating through them visiting each for 20 mins. This is our second week for the coop. We covered turtles, frog lifecycles and looking at pond water under a microscope. Last week the topics included the food web, pond pets and pond succession. This new format is working well for the kids and adults, although with the rainy weather the noise and space was a bit crazy(lol!). I enjoy experimenting with different styles of group learning and am interested to see what forms we take on.
