Friends were up for a visit and our traditional gingerbread house building date. These are friends we have had from life before kids. And even though we don't see each other very often the kids have all become equally great friends as us adults. We have get together traditions; birthday parties, camping in the summer, gingerbread houses. While those mights some like your run of the mill things to do with friends, it is also tradition that something crazy happens along the way.
The gingerbread houses turned out fabulous, we reminisced, the kids played into the wee hours, we tobogganed, played in the snow and made plans for our next get together. No matter how much time passes, it always feels so great for us to get together.
