This morning we had our program at the local Nature Centre. This week it focused on water study in a river we often visit. The older kids began by measuring how fast the water travelled; something completely new to me. While the younger kids focused on catching things with the nets. The older kids soon zoned out and joined in with the net searching. I think its a place they feel so comfortable they just wanted to do 'what they always do'. There were some interesting finds; snail eggs, caterpillars, water
striders, beetles,
whirligigs, leeches, blue admiral butterflies, and much more. This program has been
thoroughly enjoyed.
