Magic Clay

We prepared a batch of magic clay (corn starch, baking soda and water) to make amulets. While the clay was a little frustrating to work with as it was quite crumbly we did enjoy talking about what our amulets may protect us from. Our explorations of Egypt have stemmed from reading Story of the World. However, we have definetly lead our own exploration vering off the beaten path. The kids have thought of some great ideas for hands on projects. The ancient worlds discovery kit was great. Elias, Ben and I enjoyed playing the games and creating the hieroglyphs.
