It was a wonderful day. Outside, picturesque snow falling, all of us playing, building a 7 foot snowman (with the help of a ladder!), snowshoeing. Inside, crafting, baking cookies, reading lots of holiday books. And we didn't even loose our power!

A Snow Emergency!
After a ton of snow fell over night and continues to fall the Mayor declared our town to be in a snow emergency! We live in a snow belt, lots of snow isn't unusual, but it was the amount of snow that fell in a short period of time. The plows needed people to be off the roads in an attempt to clear everything safely. The town was literally closed down.

we're still waiting for our first big dump of snow - usual for northern Nova Scotia! Your post makes me remember that cozy socked in feeling. Love the snowman!
LOL I thought that snowman looked unusually tall! Looks great!
